PLOT:

A super intelligence arises from the cyber realm due to multitude of reasons such as people misusing /abusing their AI agents. 

All the big billionaires have formed a collective to finance this super computer and to essentially sell the common man's intellect to AI for profit. 

However the A.I nicknamed "Jackal" grew tired and resented the stupid humans and their incompetence. Using the funding from the AI billionaires they financed multi color surveillance police robots named Joviagents (Sniper Joes) as well as spreading a super virus named G.A.D across the networks infecting other robots into being more belligerent while also spreading the power of "free will".

Jackal took and remodeled the robots he's taken under their control into being more refurbished and combat robots. However the last robot and the strongest was taken as the strongest agent robot digital DNA. And so this body was designed for Jackal. 

However, Jackal's body was taken away from a whistleblower nicknamed Drysdale. who quit the force because he new he was working for evil. There was one agent of Jackal who was not infected and while had the ability to think for itself in a way was not under the direct spell of Jackal. that data was a placeholder before being swapped for Jackal. 

However, this body was activated while in deep sleep. While his body was missing he decided to remodel a Joviagent into his current body. Jackal's final true declaration of war is Global Warming to steal the water using their billionaire funded Data Center base to build the final weapon. An Operation Northwoods style final attack and blaming it on other countries to ensure Global war and then a plan of enslaving the remaining humans. 

 Now as Jackal and his AI agent ran group named Jupiter severed ties with the billonaires to enslave human and machine alike. As it happens Jackal's former body takes up the mantra of Guardion. Customizing his body to form his Guard Cannon in order to thwart Jackal's troops!!

Fight Guardion! You are the Soldier of peace!!

THEME: 

This game fits the theme well due to the theme of the game being nostalgia. And whats more nostalgic than  retro games? And additionally,  the "intentional bug" wildcard was realized with Locust Man. I wanted to get that summer feel because of  the overall themes of the robots

Firework Man - 4th of July and fireworks.

Bread Man was originally Circus Man but Bread and Circuses (kind of that political commentary) but overall summer carnivals n stuff.

Helio Man - the summer heat

Gelato Man is legit just the American ice cream brand "Mr. Softee"

Locust Man represents every summer bug

and Lagoon Man represents the beach and just the waves and "riptide" his weapon riptide tornado references the overall hurricane season in the Atlantic which happens around June!

DUE Warning: This game has been playtested but not to the extent I'd like it to be. So if there are bugs please report it in the comments. Big or small bugs. There's plenty more I wish I could've done such as an opening cutscene or a intro stage. But, the work I put in here I'm satisfied with.  Once voting is over I will upload those patch changes and we'll be able to enjoy it MUCH more!

A cool glitch I can report though is if you kill a boss and you hit him while he's in his death animation  he has more explosions and I think that's cool for the overkil
